Liam was admitted as a Solicitor and Barrister in the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2018 and in the High Court of Australia in 2020. Prior to moving to Perth, Liam worked as a qualified lawyer in Northern Ireland for over a decade.
Liam’s most recent work includes:
- breach of contract disputes in the Magistrates Court, District Court and Supreme Court
- mothership proceedings in the Federal Court on behalf of Liquidators for unfair preference payment claim
- arbitration proceedings subject to the Commercial Arbitration Act 2012 (WA) and Resolution Institute Arbitration Rules 2020
- enforcing Orders in accordance with the Civil Judgments Enforcement Act 2004 (WA)
- issuing Bankruptcy Notices and Statutory Demands for debt recovery matters
- reviews of WA HBCA Lump Sum Building Contracts with regards to the Home Building Contracts Act 1991 (WA)
- consumer actions against suppliers for breaches of the Australian Consumer Law (WA)
- protecting clients’ interests in property by electronically lodging caveats on Property Exchange Australia
- applications under the Family Provision Act 1972 (WA) for clients who have been omitted from a deceased’s Will or require increased provision
- due diligence enquiries on Australian Securities and Investments Commission records and Landgate records
Outside of work, Liam enjoys football, jogging, jet skiing and travel.
